As we are finishing our 3rd week in school, we all are starting to figure out where we need to be, what we need to do, and new opportunities to get involved. Everything is just one big jumble of things to do. In the midst of all of the craziness this week it would be a perfect time to think.
“We are all unique,” “You deserve to be loved, and to love,” and “God loves you no matter what;” are all phrases I feel that I hear way too often and in their simplicity, they just start to sound like white noise. But when we really stop to dissect these words of wisdom, they start to bring back the spark they had when we first heard them. We deserve to believe these statements relate to each and everyone of us. A lot of times we will listen to our friends when they are going through a rough time and we tell them all these amazing things that are true about them. But when the tables are turned we tended to never believe those things when our friends do the same for us. When we are deciding what new opportunities we want to take and where we spend our time it often lightens our hearts to try and remember that God really does love us for how unique we are and it doesn’t matter what choices we make because God will ALWAYS be there.
You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble an surround me with songs of deliverance. Psalm 32:7-8
